Our Focus

Early Childhood Education

ICW focuses on early learning as an investment in workforce development and seeks to drive the national debate about preschool policies and programs, as well as provide information to the business community at the local, state, and national levels.

K-12 Education

ICW is committed to solving the most pressing problems in K-12th grade education, including the persistence of race- and income-based academic achievement gaps at all grade levels and the long-standing dropout crisis plaguing rural and urban high schools.

Postsecondary Education

Even as college attendance is skyrocketing in other parts of the world, many of America's students face economic and educational barriers preventing them from continuing their education past high school. ICW is committed to breaking down these barriers.

Workforce Development

To build a stronger American workforce, ICW partners with cities, school systems, corporations, chambers of commerce, trade associations, and others, assisting them in designing effective business-education partnerships, employee recruitment and mentoring programs, workplace flexibility policies, and more.

Policy

ICW promotes high educational standards and effective workforce training systems so that they are aligned with each other and with today's rigorous business demands.
